SO, what’s the story?

So&So was founded by Zach Kellum.

Zach began brewing sorrel as a way to connect himself and his family with their Caribbean heritage and culture. What he created was a less sweet sparkling version of a sorrel recipe he'd known all his life. What he also crafted was a non-alcoholic cocktail, perfect for any occasion.

Its taste is refreshingly complex without being too sweet.

It wasn’t long before Sorrel and Soda was renamed So&So, a nod to the name Zach was frequently called in childhood by his Trinidadian grandparents!

So, in the late summer of 2023, with a cheeky brand name and bottle of a delicious beverage in hand, Zach partnered with his good friends at Midtown Brewery and set to work creating So&So to share with the world.

Our Process & ingredients

Dried organic sorrel (the calyx of the roselle hibiscus ) is imported from North Africa and India, then lovingly steeped at Midtown Brewing in Prince Edward County, Ontario. The liquid is infused with ginger, cloves, cinnamon, cardamon, star anise, orange zest, and just enough organic cane sugar to balance the natural tartness of the sorrel.

Once the kettles cool, filtered water is added and whole brew is lightly carbonated before being chilled and sealed in cans.
